WRA Gift Certificates are great for the Wisconsin economy. It’s an effective way to promote local businesses and send new diners to your door. Where else can a restaurant receive such widespread promotion at no cost? A listing in the Dining Guide is included with your membership.
All participating WRA members receive full reimbursement for any redeemed certificate within 10 business days. It’s so easy!
- Treat the certificate like cash (make change like you normally would for a cash transaction).
- Fill out your restaurant name and address on the certificate and mail the completed certificate to WRA within 90 days of receipt (our address is on every certificate).
- WRA mails you a check for the FULL FACE VALUE of the certificate within 10 business days, after we have received it.
And, don't forget to tell your staff that your establishment accepts WRA gift certificates.
Check our Dining Guide page to make sure all of your locations are listed. We'll provide a link directly from your listing to your personal web site (a free service). You must accept WRA gift certificates in order to be listed. Contact Kim Burns at kburns@wirestaurant.org to update your information.
Gift certificate holders will be looking for member restaurants - so be sure to post your member and gift certificate decals where they will be seen. If you need additional free WRA gift certificate decals, or have questions about the program please call the WRA at 800.589.3211 or send an e-mail to sgiese@wirestaurant.org.
WRA has created features to keep certificates secure and help you distinguish between a real and a fake one. While we have never received a complaint about counterfeit gift certificates, we are currently working to make our certificates even more secure.
WRA has two types of similar-looking certificates that are both acceptable for redemption:
Original Version
- Distinctive design in black ink on ivory paper
- Printed on both front and back
- Paper has a slight weight to it, like cover stock
- Certificate bears the WRA seal in 3-D relief
- Each certificate has a unique identification number
Updated Certificates
- Distinctive design in black ink on ivory paper
- Printed on a single side
- Paper is a lighter weight and has a watermark pattern
- Bears a heat-activated Safeguard Secure Seal
- Hold a finger on the seal. The heat from your finger lightens the image and proves authenticity.
- Each certificate has a unique identification number
During the transition to new stock, WRA and its members will ACCEPT BOTH TYPES of certificates. |
