Here's how you find out where to dine with your
Wisconsin Restaurant Association gift certificate!
Go to the online
dining guide!
It's a searchable database of member restaurants that accept WRA gift
certificates. You can search by restaurant name, city, type of cuisine
or county! The website address is printed on each of our certificate inserts.
Call our toll-free number!
If you don't have Internet access, call WRA at 800.589.3211 for friendly
help locating a restaurant. Our toll-free number is printed on each of
our certificate inserts.
Tips for a great dining experience:
- Mention you'll be using a certificate when you call
ahead for reservations. This will avoid any surprises for the restaurant
staff, who may need some lead-time to get their questions about the
program answered.
- Don't forget to tip! Whether you use part of the gift
certificate or your own money, please don't forget your hardworking
server. A 15% gratuity is considered standard.
- Your certificate works just like cash, but aim to use
it appropriately. Presenting a $100 certificate for a $1.99 hamburger
may raise some eyebrows among restaurant staff, who are trained to prevent
fraud. Yes, the restaurant is reimbursed for the full certificate amount,
but handing out $98 in cash would present a "red flag" for
most responsible restaurant workers.
Problems using your certificate?
With over 7,000 member restaurants statewide, we do occasionally hear
about problems redeeming our gift certificates. If you've had such
an experience, please take a moment to contact us! It gives WRA the
opportunity to bring that restaurant up-to-date on the program, or
to remove their listing from the dining guide, if necessary. Call
WRA at 800.589.3211 or email sgiese@wirestaurant.org.
