Local Chef Honored As Outstanding Restaurateur of the Year

Patrick Campbell, Chef at Al & Al’s Stein Haus in Sheboygan, was honored as the 2011 Outstanding Restaurateur of the Year (OROY) by the Wisconsin Restaurant Association (WRA) Eastern Shore Chapter, made up of Winnebago, Calumet, Green Lake and Manitowoc counties.

The OROY award was presented to Campbell on Monday, January 24, 2011, at a WRA chapter meeting. Campbell also received a Legislative Citation acknowledging corporate citizenship. On Tuesday, March 22, Campbell will be honored again with a commendation medal at the 2011 WRA Awards Dinner, taking place at the InterContinental Hotel in downtown Milwaukee. The OROY award is given by fellow members of the WRA Eastern Shore Chapter based on success in business, community service and dedication to the restaurant industry.

Campbell has been involved in the foodservice industry for all of his life, working in his grandparent’s restaurant in his youth. For the last five years, Campbell has specialized in creating German cuisine for guests of Al & Al’s Stein Haus.

Campbell has been very active in the WRA Eastern Shore Chapter for six years, and has served as President of the chapter. Campbell is quick to donate to local fundraisers and non-profits and deserves recognition for his service to the foodservice industry and to his community.
