Badger Liquor Honored with Salute to Excellence Award

Badger Liquor Co., Inc. of Fond du Lac is honored as the supplier recipient of the 2011 Salute to Excellence Supplier Award, presented by the Wisconsin Restaurant Association (WRA) Education Foundation. The Foundation presents Badger Liquor with the award for their commitment to education, dedication to their community and contributions to the future of foodservice.

Badger Liquor, the Sadoff family and employees have proven their enthusiasm and optimism for Wisconsin’s foodservice industry and foodservice education through long-time support of WRA and its Education Foundation. Representatives of the company have served on the WRA Education Foundation Board of Directors, donated to the Wisconsin Restaurant Expo and been involved in WRA chapter and Foundation events. Badger Liquor has also become a partner of the WRA Education Foundation ServSafe® Alcohol Program, promoting safe alcohol service practices for foodservice employees.

“Badger Liquor is a dedicated industry partner,” says Susan Quam, Executive Director of the WRA Education Foundation. “Their support and involvement in foodservice education programs really makes a difference.”

The WRA Education Foundation proudly presents Badger Liquor of Wisconsin with the 2011 Salute to Excellence Supplier Award.

Each year, the WRA EF recognizes five individuals and one company for dedication and commitment to education in the restaurant industry as Salute to Excellence honorees. Other 2011 Salute to Excellence honorees include: Barb Bruesewitz (Wauwatosa East High School), Chef Fred Griesbach, CEC, AAC (The Sky Club, Plover), Chef Gary Lyons (Fox Valley Technical College, Appleton), Susan Patterson (Al & Al’s Stein Haus, Sheboygan) and Chef Jason Tofte (Eddie Martini’s, Wauwatosa).

Each honoree creates opportunities for people interested in foodservice industry careers. They have worked in a variety of roles, in different parts of the state, but they share an enthusiasm and optimism for the future of the restaurant industry.

The Salute to Excellence awards are presented at the 2011 Celebration of Excellence on Sunday, October 9 at the Heidel House Resort in Green Lake. More information on the event is available at www.wirestaurant.org.
