Accounting Firm Honored with Salute to Excellence Award

EWH Small Business Accounting, S.C., based in Waukesha, is honored as the supplier recipient of the 2014 Salute to Excellence Awards, presented by the Wisconsin Restaurant Association (WRA) Education Foundation. The Foundation presents EWH Small Business Accounting, S.C. with the award for their commitment to education, dedication to the industry and contributions to the future of foodservice.

“EWH Small Business Accounting, S.C. is a dedicated partner that believes in the Foundation’s mission,” says Bryan Mowry, Executive Director of the WRA Education Foundation. “Their support and involvement in foodservice programs really makes a difference for the industry.”

EWH Small Business Accounting, S.C. has shown their support for Wisconsin’s foodservice industry and foodservice education through long-time backing of WRA, its Education Foundation and the Midwest Foodservice Expo. The company has been an involved industry participant and places strong value in grooming the next generation of foodservice professionals. For these reasons, the WRA Education Foundation proudly presents EWH Small Business Accounting, S.C. with the 2014 Salute to Excellence Supplier Award.

Each year, the WRA EF recognizes five individuals and one company for dedication and commitment to education in the restaurant industry as Salute to Excellence honorees. Other 2014 Salute to Excellence honorees include: Brian Frakes (Marcus Hotels and Resorts, Milwaukee); Kevin McGuinnis (Madison College, Madison); Diane McKenzie (Madison West High School, Madison); Chico Pope (Buckhorn Supper Club, Milton); and Amy and Ryan Scheide (Great Expectations, Wisconsin Rapids). Each honoree creates opportunities for people interested in foodservice industry careers. They have worked in a variety of roles, in different parts of the state, but they share an enthusiasm and optimism for the future of the restaurant industry.

The Salute to Excellence awards are presented at the 2014 Celebration of Excellence on Sunday, October 19 at Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan. More information on the event is available at www.wirestaurant.org.

The Foundation vision is to advance professionalism through education, scholarships and community involvement to ensure the future success of the foodservice industry.

The ProStart® program, administered by National Restaurant Association Solutions, LLC and state restaurant associations, is a college-prep, two-year curriculum designed to teach high school students the skills needed for a career in the restaurant and foodservice industry. Students also have the opportunity to participate in paid internships where industry managers mentor them.
