Joe Anderson Manufacturing Firm Honored with
Salute to Excellence Award

Woolsey and Associates, a foodservice manufacturer based in Waukesha, is honored as the supplier recipient of the 2015 Salute to Excellence Awards, presented by the Wisconsin Restaurant Association Education Foundation (WRA Education Foundation). The WRA Education Foundation presents Woolsey and Associates with the award for their commitment to education, dedication to the industry and contributions to the future of foodservice.

“Woolsey and Associates is a long-standing supporter of the WRA Education Foundation,” said Connie Fedor, Executive Director of the WRA Education Foundation. “They’re strong advocates for educating and training the industry’s workforce – something that is vital to the future of the industry.”

Woolsey and Associates has shown their support through long-time backing of the WRA Education Foundation, including representation on the WRA Education Foundation Board. They also volunteer or participate in many Foundation fundraising events, showing their commitment to grooming the next generation of foodservice professionals. The company is a Gold Sponsor of the Wisconsin School Nutrition Association and is actively involved in community service projects. The WRA Education Foundation proudly presents Woolsey and Associates with the 2015 Salute to Excellence Supplier Award.

Each year, the WRA Education Foundation recognizes individuals in five categories and one company for dedication and commitment to education in the restaurant industry as Salute to Excellence honorees. With an overwhelming response to the program, the WRA has decided to choose seven honorees for this year’s Salute. Other 2015 Salute to Excellence honorees include: Vicki Mendham (Nicolet College, Rhinelander); Michael Tsuchihashi (Atlas BBQ, Grafton); Laura Cronan (Nekoosa High School, Nekoosa); Sally Heuer (West Bend High School, West Bend); Don Thompson (Red Mill Supper Club, Stevens Point); and David Ross (Lake Lawn Resort, Delavan). Each honoree creates opportunities for people interested in
foodservice industry careers. They have worked in a variety of roles and in different parts of the state, but they share an enthusiasm and optimism for the future of the restaurant industry.

The Salute to Excellence awards are presented at the 2015 Celebration of Excellence on Sunday, October 25 at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center in Downtown Milwaukee. More information on the event is available at www.wirestaurant.org.
