Jones Dairy Farm Jones Dairy Farm Honored with Salute to Excellence Award

Jones Dairy Farm, a foodservice manufacturer based in Fort Atkinson, will receive the Wisconsin Restaurant Association (WRA) Education Foundation’s Salute to Excellence Award at the industry’s Celebration of Excellence dinner taking place on October 23 at the Heidel House in Green Lake. Jones Dairy Farm is honored for their commitment to education, dedication to the industry and contributions to the future of foodservice.

“Jones Dairy Farm believes that education plays a vital role in the future of the food industry,” said Connie Fedor, Executive Director of the WRA Education Foundation. “Their generous support of educational programs makes a meaningful difference in the lives of students pursuing a career in the restaurant and hospitality industry.”

A strong advocate and supporter of the WRA and WRA Education Foundation, Jones Dairy Farm is the lead sponsor for the College Culinary Competition at the Midwest Foodservice Expo. They also are the lead donor of the Jones Dairy Farm Culinary Theatre at Fox Valley Technical College and are the benefactor of the culinary arts program at Madison College. They provide ongoing scholarships to students at both Fox Valley Area Technical College and Madison College.

Jones Dairy Farms received the Fort Atkinson Chamber of Commerce Economic Contribution Award, 2016; the NAMI Community Service Award, 2014; and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Business Friends of Education Award, 2013.

Each year, the WRA Education Foundation recognizes five individuals and one company for dedication and commitment to education in the restaurant industry as Salute to Excellence honorees. Other 2016 Salute to Excellence honorees include: Michael Buckarma (Becket’s, Oshkosh); Katie Koel (Blackhawk Technical College, Janesville); Kayla Correll (Greendale High School, Greendale); Michael Althen (Elite Catering, Baraboo); and Glenda Woosley (Culver’s of Darboy, Darboy). Each honoree creates opportunities for people interested in foodservice industry careers. They have worked in a variety of roles and in different parts of the state, but they share enthusiasm and optimism for the future of the restaurant industry.

The Salute to Excellence awards will be presented at the 2016 Celebration of Excellence on Sunday, October 23 at the Heidel House in Green Lake. More information on the event is available at www.wirestaurant.org.
