Host Midwest Expo, Wisconsin's largest foodservice industry event, is
scheduled for March 10-12, at the Midwest Airlines Center in Milwaukee.
Now celebrating its 70th year, the Expo attracts thousands of attendees
from Wisconsin and surrounding states. With nearly 500 booths, six highly-competitive
food and beverage competitions and A-list industry speakers, there is
something for every segment of the hospitality industry at Host Midwest
Expo.
Some 2003 highlights include:
- A special 70th anniversary keynote address and workshop
with the world-famous fishmongers from Pike Place Fish in Seattle, featuring
John Yokoyama, owner, and Jim Bergquist of BizFutures.
- Nationally-known marketing expert Tom Feltenstein will
present his blueprint for marketing success in two workshops using the
common sense principles of Neighborhood Marketing and Four Walls Promotion.
- The nation's largest cheese and butter competition,
the 12th biennial U.S. Championship Cheese Contest will be held right
on the show floor.
- Attendees can enjoy a sophisticated combination of
education and tasting with the Expo's Wine & Cheese Experience,
new in 2003.
- Chefs from across the Midwest will compete in the American
Culinary Federation's Hot Food Contemporary Competition and the
Hot Food Mystery Basket Competition.
- High-energy exhibits and demonstrations at this year's
Spirits, Wine & Beer Pavilion, featuring the exciting ShowTenders'
International Bartender Competition.
Since 1933, Host Midwest Expo has been produced by the Wisconsin Restaurant
Association, a nonprofit group dedicated to the promotion, protection
and improvement of the state's foodservice industry.
