A Student Showcase
In the ProStart® Invitational, teams of high school students enrolled in the Wisconsin ProStart Program compete for scholarship dollars and a trip to nationals in two high-energy competitions.
Organized by the WRA Education Foundation, the competitions provide young professionals with industry experience and help prepare the future of the industry with skills to enter the workforce.
With one hour to prepare a three course meal, teams of four students are judged on knife skills, team work, sanitation, safety, menu presentation, and taste.
Teams of four students develop a business proposal for a new restaurant concept, create posters, answer critical thinking questions and present their concept to judges.
