Student Achievement Award

Recognizing students in post-secondary hospitality, tourism, family & consumer sciences, restaurant/culinary or baking.

(1) student will be selected annually.

The Student Achievement Award celebrates the next generation of hospitality professionals.

This spotlight recognizes one student each year who goes above and beyond in their hospitality, restaurant, or tourism-focused education. This individual demonstrates dedication to their studies, a passion for the industry, and a strong desire to build a career in hospitality.

Eligibility Criteria
Nominees must:

Be currently enrolled or a spring/summer 2026 graduate in a Wisconsin-based university, college, or technical college (including online programs affiliated with Wisconsin institutions)
Be pursuing a program related to hospitality, tourism, family & consumer sciences, restaurant/culinary or baking.
Be nominated by an instructor, faculty member, or employer (no self-nominations)
Demonstrate commitment to their education and future in the industry

What Judges Are Looking For

Academic effort and commitment to learning
Initiative beyond the classroom (internships, jobs, leadership roles, projects)
Passion for the hospitality industry
Professionalism and readiness for the workforce
Potential to become a future industry leader
