Allergen Awareness Poster AvailableFood allergies are a growing food safety issue. One in thirteen children and one in twenty-five adults have food allergies.
People with food allergies are important customers and the foodservice and hospitality industry needs to accommodate them safely. Restaurant staff needs to be aware of the seriousness of food allergies. Customers also need to be reminded of their responsibility to be up front in informing staff of their life-threatening allergies. The Wisconsin Restaurant Association developed a free poster to help restaurants inform their staff about food allergies.
