1099 Workers are Eligible for FFCRA Relief Funds |
Congress Passed COVID Relief for Self-Employed Individuals
The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) is a federal law (Public Law No. 116-127) that was passed to assist people impacted by the pandemic by providing paid leave and other benefits. This was extended to include self-employed individuals. This law allows for 1099 tax filers to get up to $32,200 in refundable tax credits. This relief for self-employed individuals is buried in a very complex law that not many people are aware of. Except we are! Why the Wisconsin Restaurant Association is telling you about this Similar to what’s available for 1099’s, our Association helped restaurants get millions of dollars in tax dollars back through what’s called the Employee Retention Credit… also a part of that very thorough and complicated bill that Congress passed to give COVID relief. We did that with the help of our partner, Adesso Capital. And now Adesso Capital wants to help self-employed individuals see if they qualify for the FFCRA tax refund. That’s our connection! We worked with Adesso to help restaurants and now we want to help you. |
