AWARDS WILL BE PRESENTED AT THE 2022 HOSPITALITY GALA TO BE HELD ON MONDAY, 
NOVEMBER 14, 2022 AT THE GRAND MERIDIAN - APPLETON

NOMINATIONS ARE DUE BY OCTOBER 15 FOR INDIVIDUALS IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:
MANAGER OF THE YEAR
CHAPTER HERO AWARD
OUTSTANDING RESTAURATEUR OF THE YEAR (OROY)
MANAGER OF THE YEAR CRITERIA
  • BE EMPLOYED WITH A FOOD SERVICE ESTABLISHMENT FOR A MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ; FINE DINING, FAST CASUAL, FAST FOOD, QUICK SERVE, CATERING, BAKERY, DELI
  • RESTAURANT MUST BE A MEMBER AND IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE WISCONSIN RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION

CHAPTER HERO AWARD
  • RESTAURANT MUST BE A MEMBER AND IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE WISCONSIN RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION AND MUST HAVE MADE SUBSTANTIAL CONTRIBUTIONS AT THE CHAPTER LEVEL
  • ACTIONS TO BE CONSIDERED: ATTEND MOST CHAPTER MEETINGS AND EVENTS; SERVICE ON CHAPTER BOARD OF DIRECTORS; ACTIVE IN FUNDRAISING EFFORTS FOR WRA EF, RAF & PAC; CONTRIBUTED TO KEEPING THE CHAPTER FISCALLY SOUND AND WELL-MANAGED; CONTRIBUTES TO RECRUITMENT OF NEW MEMBERS; MAINTAINS GOOD COMMUNICATION WITH THE STATE WRA OFFICE

    **CHAPTER MEMBERS CURRENTLY SERVING ON THE WRA STATE BOARD OF DIRECTORS ARE INELIGIBLE FOR THE CHAPTER HERO AWARD

OROY AWARD
  • RESTAURANT MUST BE A MEMBER AND IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE WISCONSIN RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION.
  • THE OPERATOR IS SUCCESSFUL IN THE EYES OF FELLOW OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES AND THE COMMUNITY.
  • THE NOMINEE CONTRIBUTES THE INDUSTRY ON THE BASIS OF BUSINESS ETHICS, LEADERSHIP IN EDUCATION ABOUT PROMOTION OF THE RESTAURANT INDUSTRY
  • THE NOMINEE CONTRIBUTES TO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH CIVIC, FRATERNAL, SOCIAL OR RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES
  • ​THE NOMINEE CONTRIBUTES TO WRA, WRA EDUCATION FOUNDATION AND/OR THE CHAPTER IN TIME, ENERGY, ETC.
