To encourage more widespread vaccinations, President Joe Biden has announced a paid-leave tax credit for small and midsize employers that provide full pay for employees who take time off to get and recover from a COVID-19 vaccination.
The Internal Revenue Service and the Treasury Department recently detailed a plan that will allow small and midsized businesses to claim tax credits for providing paid leave for employees to get COVID-19 vaccinations. The tax credit is available to organizations with fewer than 500 employees and is funded by the American Rescue Plan. On occasion the Department's Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement Unit confiscates contraband alcohol beverages. The DOR is authorized to sell the confiscated product to the highest bidder. These sales consist of 1589 bottles of Taxed Wine. Bids will be accepted from either a wholesale Permittee or persons licensed to sell wine at retail (Class A or B Liquor License).
