Consumer attitudes toward restaurant technology varies greatly by demographic and service segment—fullservice, limited-service and delivery—according to new research. In the Association’s first look at restaurant technology integration since 2016—and post pandemic—data shows a good approach for operators is to match their tech investments to the customer base they serve. 76% of operators say using technology gives them a competitive edge but many believe their restaurants could do more to keep up on the tech front. Through technology, operators have important opportunities to enhance the customer experience, amplify marketing and operate more efficiently.
